Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ announced with 5.7-inch QHD display, 4GB RAM and 3000mAh battery

Along with the Samsung Galaxy Note5, Samsung also announced the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+. The 5.7-inch sized device is more or less a bigger screen variant of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge as it has the same design and processor.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is the Samsung Galaxy Note5 without a Stylus Pen (S Pen) and a Dual Edge screen. The device sports a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1560 pixels) Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 518ppi.

To show that the Dual Edge is no design alone, it features the ‘App Edge’ for easy access to favorite apps by swiping the Edge display and ‘People Edge’ for helping users connect to their close contacts easily.

Under the hood, it is powered by the 64-bit Exynos 7420 which is paired with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB or 64GB internal storage (the UFS 2.0  type). There is no microSD card slot and no 128GB variant launching this year.

On the rear, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ sports a 16MP f/2.2 camera with OIS and LED flash; the front camera is a 5MP f/1.9 camera with wide angle lens for selfies. Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth 4.2, Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, MIMO(2×2), ANT+, USB 2.0, 4G LTE (LTE Cat.9 or LTE Cat.6) and GPS/Beidou/GLONASS.
