Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 at the Unpacked 2015 event in New York on August 13th. Both device could share the same specs but the Note 5 would have the S-Pen stylus which the S6 Edge+ would be deprived of.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is said to be improved Galaxy S6 Edge and is the first time Samsung is launching a Plus version of a Galaxy S device. It will have a bigger 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display compared to 5.1-inch on the S6 Edge with a QHD resolution, rock either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, would have the same Exynos 7420 processor or use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor.
The main camera is expected to be a 16MP snapper from either Samsung or Sony with OIS and internal storage starts from 32GB which is the base model. In terms of pricing, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ has a price tag of €799.99 (32GB model); the release date is expected to around a week after the announcement on August 13th which is August 21th.
The company has also confirmed it would reduce the price of Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge to keep up with sales. We look forward to the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 Event for the announcement of both devices.
