In time for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, Samsung has announced the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition. The Rio 2016-inspired limited edition device will be available on sale in Brazil, United States, China, Germany and Korea starting from July 18th.
The outer design of the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition is inspired by the five rings of the Olympics while the colours of the rings will be prominent in the phone’s user interface in the home and lock screens as well as the message, dial and contact screens and notification bar.
The device has the same specs as the original model and comes pre-loaded with the Rio 2016 Olympic Games themed wallpapers and the Olympic Organising Committee have also created the Rio 2016 app for Android, iOS and Windows Phone, that offers all the details about the games.
In partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the South Korean company will give out 12,500 Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition to all participating Rio 2016 Olympians. A version will reportedly be also be created for the Paralympics in the future.
