Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Snap-on keyboard accessory for the Galaxy Note5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ at the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event.
The QWERTY keyboard is reminiscent of Blackberry smartphones and of recent, the Typo concept for iPhone. The Samsung Galaxy Snap-on keyboard has a brushed metal texture and it doesn’t require batteries or bluetooth pairing as the smartphone understands touch capacitive technology .
It attaches to the bottom half of the device display and can also double as a case to protect the lower half of the screen. Once the keyboard is attached, the device recognises it an automatically adjust the user interface to fit the remaining portion left.
Samsung expects the keyboard to allow users type more accurately and with great speed. Available in four colour options to match, the Galaxy Snap-on keyboard is compatible with the latest Galaxy Note series and the Galaxy S Series devices – the Galaxy Note5, S6 Edge+, S6 and S6 Edge.
The Samsung Galaxy Snap-on keyboard costs $80 and would be available when the Samsung Galaxy Note5 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 Edge+ are both on sale.
