Samsung is working on all fronts to solidify its position back as the Number One smartphone manufacturer in the world. The company has been faced in recent times with dwindling profits, losing market share and the likes. The company is said to be working on new tablets in the Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note series.
Samsung is expected to debut two mid-range tablets in the Galaxy A series – the Samsung Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab A Plus. The latter is said to come with S Pen support.
Both the Galaxy Tab A and the Galaxy Tab A Plus would come in two sizes – 8.0-inch and 9.7-inch; each size model would have almost the same specs. The difference is that the Galaxy Tab A Plus would come with more RAM (2GB compared to 1.5GB on the Tab A) and comes with S Pen.
The 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab A Plus has 16GB space of internal storage, 5MP main camera, 2MP front camera,1.2GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, 1028 x 768 pixels display resolution with 4:3 aspect Ratio and 4200mAh batteries.
The 9.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab A Plus also has 16GB space of internal storage, 5MP/2MP front and rear cameras, 1028 x 768 pixels resolution display with 4:3 Apsect ration but it comes with a larger 6000mAh battery and is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm APQ8016 processor.
All tablets would be available in Wi-Fi, LTE versions and would all sport a slim profile (7.4mm). We’ll have to wait until the official announcement to know how much these devices would cost but it isn’t expected to cost much due to its mid-range offering.
