Samsung is reportedly readying new tablets in the high-end Galaxy Tab S3 line to succeed last year’s Galaxy Tab S2 models. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 8.0 has been spotted on TENAA meaning the slate has been certified for the Chinese market and could go official anytime soon.
According to the listing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 8.0 (SM-T719) sports a 8-inch AMOLED display with 2048 x 1536 pixels screen resolution and keeps the same design as its predecessor – the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0. It measures 198.6 x 134.8 x 5.6 mm in dimensions, weighs in at 272 grams and boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box.
Under the hood, the slate relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor clocked 1.8GHz with 3GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage space and boots Android 6.0 .1 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box. For additional storage space, there is a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB.
In the camera segment, there are 8MP/2MP cameras on the rear and front respectively. As expected, there would be Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE variants. The 9.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 (SM-T813) is expected to have majority of the specs of the 8-inch version and cost a bit higher.
