Samsung has launched a new mid range voice calling tablet – the Samsung Galaxy TabQ slate in China. It is currently only compatible with China Unicom and China Mobile network bands; there is no word on its availability in other regions. The Galaxy TabQ went official in Korea as the Samsung Galaxy W.
The Samsung Galaxy TabQ features a 7-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD), powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz (possibly the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400), 8-megapixels rear facing camera with LED flash, 2-megapixels front facing camera for video chats and energys from a moderate sized 3200mAh battery.
There is no word on the RAM and amount of inbuilt storage but there is a micro SD card slot which supports expandable storage up to 64GB. Connectivity options of the Galaxy TabQ includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G/4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS, Single SIM and Voive calling functionality
The Samsung Galaxy TabQ measures 191.8 x 99.7 x 8.9mm in dimensions, weighs about 250 grams in size and features faux leather finish on the rear. It is available in Black colour option only but there is no word yet on pricing or availability details in China.
