Samsung has announced the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event would be happening in August this year; the company’s unpacked event will be streamed live and we expect to see some major product announcements.
Samsung is not giving any info on what to expect at this year’s unpacked event, however in the past, the company has used the avenue to announce flagship smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are examples of such devices.
The teaser image released points to a Dual Edge smartphone which could be the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to debut too. Both device have basically the same specs with some differences.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus sports a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display, powered by an Exynos 7420 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 16MP rear facing camera and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS with TouchWiz UI. The Note 5 however uses the S Pen stylus while the S6 Edge Plus comes with a dual curved screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2015 is scheduled for August 13th 2015 and the starting time for the event is 11pm EDT. The venue is the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, New York.
