Yesterday at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2018 event in Brooklyn, New York, Samsung added three new additions to the Galaxy family of devices – the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Samsung Galaxy Watch and Samsung Galaxy Home.
The Galaxy Note 9 make its debut with the all-new S Pen, Samsung’s Water Carbon Cooling system, AKG-tuned Stereo speakers and a large 4,000mAh battery which promises all-day usage. It packs an octa-core 10nm processor paired with 6/8GB of RAM and 128/512GB built-in storage.
The flagship has the same 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display, IP68 rating and Iris scanner as the Galaxy Note 8 and dual rear cameras as the Galaxy S9+. Users can also enjoy PC-like experience with Samsung DeX. It will be available in select markets starting August 24.
Built on the design of the Gear series, the Galaxy Watch has the feeling of an analog watch and features expected of a smartwatch. It has a Circular sAMOLED Always On display with rotating bezel, body size of 42mm (Midnight Black, Rose Gold) or 46mm (Silver) and 4G/LTE connectivity.
The Galaxy Watch offers wellness capabilities such as stress management, fitness and sleep tracker and balanced nutrition with calorie tracking. It will also be able to enjoy features such as Bixby, SmartThings, Samsung Health, Samsung Flow, Samsung Knox and Samsung Pay.
The Galaxy Home Smart speaker completes the trio of announcements. It is the first ever speaker to be powered by Bixby and is expected to rival Amazon’s Echo, Apple’s HomePod and Google’s Home Speakers. More information about the speaker will be shared at the Samsung Developer Conference in San November.
