Samsung recently dished out 2nd generation and it has quickly made amendments for the errors it made with the first generations of the Galaxy Smartwatch by making it more compatible with more devices beyond the Samsung Galaxy S5.
Considering that the Samsung Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit are smart accessories, but their importance is attached to a internet connected device be it a Smartphone or Tablet. Taking a quick rundown of the new Samsung Wearables – Samsung Gear Fit, Samsung Gear 2 and Samsung Gear Neo.
SAMSUNG GEAR FIT
The samsung Gear fit is the least of Samsung’s wearable (lighter and smaller than the Gear Neo and Gear 2) and its mainly focussed on health. The Gear Fit features a 1.84-inch Super AMOLED display with a 432 x 128 pixel resolution. The device weighs 27g, measures 23.4 x 57.4 x 11.95 mm (body only), comes with a heart rate monitor, sleep monitor, and pedometer.
Other built in functions include stopwatch, fitness app, exercise mode, timer, schedule and more. Users also get to active alerts on SMS, calls, e-mail and apps on the Gear Fit. The Gear Fit is powered by a 210mAh battery which last 3 – 4 days and 5 days on minimal usage.

The Samsung Gear 2 features a metal body, 2MP autofocus camera and 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display. The Samsung Gear 2 which runs on Tizen OS is dust and water resistant. Other features of the Gear 2 include accelerometer, gyroscope, IrLED, Bluetooth 4.0LE, heart rate sensor. Some of the functions includes various tools to measure exercise, stress and sleep level, heart rate sensor, and more.

The Samsung Gear Neo which also runs on the Tizen OS, features a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display, Bluetooth 4.0 LE. Like the Samsung Gear 2, the Gear Neo is water and dust resistant, has all the features and functions of the samsung Gear 2 except that the Neo has no camera.
Samsung Gear Devices Compatible With Other Samsung Devices Including The Samsung Galaxy S5
Initially Samsung Gears Devices were compatible with only Samsung Galaxy S5, but Samsung has expanded the smartwatches to work with 20 other Smartphones and tablets inclusive. The newly announced compatible devices as expected are only Samsung brands alone.
