Samsung Electronics has announced three new smart fitness and health focused GEAR wearables – the Gear Sport, Gear Fit2 Pro and Gear Icon X at the ongoing IFA 2017 in Berlin. The trio were designed to assist users with activities ranging from robust fitness tracking to nutrition and sleep monitoring, as well as motivational coaching as a lifestyle companion.

Samsung Gear Sport
Designed with military-level (MIL-STD-810G) durability, the Samsung Gear Sport is a sleek and versatile fitness-focused water resistant smartwatch. It sports a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, circular bezel, 768MB RAM, 4GB storage space and an improved user interface.
Asides being a workout watch to help the user recieve activity recommendations, nutirion managment alerts and acheive health and wellness goals, the Gear Sport is also a stylish accessory and supports Samsung Pay for payments of goods. It also acts a remote control for devices such as the Samsung Gear VR headset and controls Samsung IoT-enabled devices via Samsung Connect.
Samsung Gear IconX (2017)
Samsung’s new Gear IconX (or Gear IconX 2017) is the perfect musical companion for fitness enthusiast. The cord-free earbuds let users enjoy saved music or access tunes via Bluetooth, and comes equipped with the company’s all-new virtual assistant, Bixby, which can be activated with a simple tap or hold.
The Gear IconX is lightweight, comfortable and stylish to use. It features the standalone Running Coach function and automatically tracks running routines. It arrives in Black, Gray and Pink colours, and battery life has improved (up to 5 hours of music streaming or up to 7 hours of standalone music playback).
Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro
The Gear Fit2 Pro is Samsung’s new advanced GPS fitness band yet. It features the new swim and heart rate monitoring capabilities along with advanced built-in GPS tracking for accurate activity tracking. It sports a 1.5-inch Curved Super AMOLED touchscreen display and has a lasting battery (200mAh).
The Gear Fit2 Pro is light weight and comfortable to use for all activities, and comes in either Black or Red colours.
