Along with the Gear Fit 2, Samsung announced the Gear IconX – a cord-free (wireless) earbuds h fitness activity tracking features. Available by the beginning of Q3 2016 for a price tag of $199, in Black, Blue and White colour options; the Samsung Gear IconX has sensors options such as accelerometer and heart rate monitor.
It tracks fitness-related data such as distance, speed, calories burned, heart rate, duration, and easily sync with the company’s S Health App. The earbuds which automatically comes up when placed in the ear has a 47mAh battery and come with a case which charges and has a capacity of 315mAh.
With 4GB built-in storage space, it is tipped to take up to 1000 MP3s and users can either tap or swipe the earbuds to easily control music/recieve incoming calls. The Samsung Gear IconX has a standalone music player and is resistant to splash thanks to P2i Nano coating.
It also includes the Voice Guide feature for instant voice feedback on which promises up to 15 different languages and pairs smartphones via Bluetooth 4.1 but supports mobile devices having at least 1.5GB of RAM and running Android 4.4 Kitkat OS (and later).
