Google unveiled its new OS for the wearables and accessories – the Android Wear OS at the Google I/O Developers conference. The search giant unexpectedly announced the Samsung Gear Live running on the Android Wear OS, the third smarwatch running on the Android Wear OS behind LG G Watch and Motorola Moto 360. The Samsung Gear Live is its first Android Wear smartwatch running on Android Wear OS and the fourth smartwatch from the South Korean company in under 12 months including the Original Samsung Gear, Gear 2 and Gear Neo.
The Samsung Gear Live features a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED (320 x 320 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2GHz (unknown chipset) processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, Bluetooth 4.0 LE.
The Samsung Gear Live has four sensors with the Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Compass, Heart Rate monitor. The smartwatch is also IP67 certified, measures 37.9 x 56.4 x 8.9 mm, weighs 59g and can be paired with any Android OS device running on Android 4.3 or higher.

The Samsung Gear Live already available for pre-order on Google Play Store, costs $199 (around N33,000 in Naira) and would be launched officially by July 7 in Red Wine and Black colour variant.
