Samsung Lucky: Possible 5.7-inch Samsung Galaxy S7 with Snapdragon 820 processor spotted on Benchmark

A couple of days ago, a Samsung device with the name Lucky-LTE and Samsung Exynos 8890 chipset using custom cores was spotted on benchmark. That same device with the codename ‘Lucky’ believed to be the Samsung Galaxy S7 has been spotted on benchmark website listing, AnTuTu with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.

According to the listing, the Samsung Lucky (or Samsung Galaxy S7 if you may like) is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB space of internal storage. The device sports a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (QHD), has a 16MP main camera, a 5MP front facing camera and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.

The Samsung Lucky has an overall score of 72,355 points, in single-threaded tests it scored 3,481 points and in 3D Graphics performance it scored 23,597 points. In comparisons with the existing processor – the Snapdragon 810 and Exynos 7420, it scored better in both single-threaded and 3D graphics tests.

The total points is a bit above the Snapdragon 810 but below the Exynos 7420. But the processor is still in early stages and is a quad-core processor compared to the other two which are octa-core ones.

The rumour mill also suggests, the Samsung Galaxy S7 could be available in two screen variants – a 5.2-inch and a 5.8-inch one. The 5.2-inch Galaxy S7 could have a FHD or QHD resolution while the 5.8-inch Galaxy S7 could have up to 4K UHD resolution.

At the moment, we are still at the early stages of Project Lucky so there is nothing concrete yet.
