Samsung Electronics has announced new additions to its Notebook series: the new Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and three new versions of the Samsung Notebook (2018). The duo will be available in select countries (Korea – December 2017; U.S – Q1 2018) and will be showcased at the upcoming CES 2018 in Las Vegas.
Samsung Notebook 9 Pen
Housed in a premium magnesium aluminium metal chassis, the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen comes with a refined 2-in-1 PC design with a 360 degree hinge to switch between tablet and laptop modes, and an IR front-facing camera for facial recognition login through Windows Hello.
The Notebook 9 weighs about 0.998Kg and packs the latest 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor. The built-in S Pen is battery free and gives users the freedom to doodle, write, sketch, paint and more. It can recognize up to 4,096 levels of pressure with a fine 0.7mm tip and convenient tilt detection to allow a more natural writing and drawing experience.
Samsung Notebook 9 (2018)
Also powered by 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor, the Notebook 9 (2018) is available in different versions with screen sizes ranging from 13.3-inch to 15-inch. It comes with Windows Hello built-in for secure authentication through the fingerprint sensor and Privacy Folder for storing sensitive data.
The Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) measures 15.4mm thick, weighs 1.288kg and relies on a 75Wh Hexacell battery – Samsung’s largest and most powerful battery placed inside a notebook.
