Samsung Unveils Worlds First Tizen OS powered smartphone – Samsung Z

Samsung is working earnestly to reduce its dependence on Google’s Android OS by pushing ahead with the development of open source Tizen platform. Samsung recently upgraded the Android run Galaxy Wear to the Tizen OS, and as well also used the OS in the recently launched wearables – Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo.

The Samsung Z is set to be the world first smartphone running the Tizen OS and is set to be announced at the Tizen developer conference this week in San Francisco. This means consumers would nowhave a choice of going for smartphones beyond Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android OS.
