Running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, the Samsung W2016 has the same mix of glass and metal body build like the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+, it also has the same 16MP main camera and 5MP front facing camera used in recent Samsung flagships. It weighs 204 grams and measures 120.4 x 61 x 15.1mm in dimensions.

The W2016 sports a 3.9-inch diagonal super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels, powered by an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor clocked at 2.1GHz with 3GB of RAM, 64GB built-in storage. It is backed by a 2000mAh battery which supports fasting charging and charges up to 50% in about 30 minutes. There is also support for Wireless charging.

Like it’s predecessors, the Samsung W2016 is available exclusively on China Mobile and will sell for an astronomical price tag of CNY 9999 (USD 1566 / EUR 1470) in Golden and Gray colour options. If you have ever used a flip phone before this pricing suggests sometimes one has to pay so much for Nostalgia.
