Samsung has launched a corporate edition of the Tizen OS running Samsung Z3 smartphone from last year. Available in Russia, the Samsung Z3 Corporate Edition is aimed at corporate users not the average users but this could be the fact that the OS is SAFE certified for business use.
The Samsung Z3 Corporate Edition is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor and supports 4G LTE connectivity compared to the Quad-core Spreadtrum processor and 3G-only connectivity on the standard Z3 model.
The device packs a 5-inch HD AMOLED display, 1GB RAM, 8GB built-in expandable storage space (up to 128GB via microSD), Dual SIM slots, runs Tizen OS 2.4 with Tizen UX 2015, 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash and front 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. It measures 141.5 X 69.9 X 7.9 mm in dimensions and is backed by a 2600mAh battery.
At the moment, the Samsung Z3 Corporate Edition is available from the Linux Center store – an official Samsung partner in Russia. The phone is priced at RUB 16,618 (around $260) and those who get to purchase before June 30 get a 15% discount off the original price.
