Samsung’s Unveils Exynos 7 Series 7904 14nm SoC Tailored For India

Leading to the launch of the new Galaxy M smartphone series in India, Samsung recently announced the launch of the Exynos 7 Series 7904 octa-core SoC. The chipset is expected to delivers advanced camera features along with enhanced computing power for the next-generation mid-range mobile devices.

Manufactured using the 14nm FinFET technology, the Exynos 7 Series 7904 is equipped with 2x Cortex A73 cores @ 1.8GHz for heavy tasks and 6x Cortex A53 cores @1.6GHz for everyday tasks. It is paired with Mali G71 MP2 GPU, multi-mode LTE modem and 4-mode GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite system).

The ISP supports a single camera with resolution up to 32MP and an advanced triple camera setup with a number of new features. The new chipset supports up to (2400 x 1080 pixels) FHD+ display resolution and is able to encode and decode video in high resolution up to 4K UHD at 30fps or full HD at 120fps.

Samsung has commenced mass production of the Exynos 7 Series 7904 and it is expected to arrive in one of the upcoming Galaxy M series phones.
