Earlier in the day, Samsung mistakenly listed the yet to be announced Samsung Galaxy On5 smartphone on its Indian version of the website; the listing has however been pulled down. It is expected to sell for around Rs 10,000 ($155/€135) in India.
Moving to the specs, the Samsung Galaxy On5 (SM-G550F) sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD TFT LCD display, powered by a quad-core processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.
It measures 142.3 x 72.1 x 8.5mm in dimensions, weighs 149 grams and dons a faux-leather back texture. The Dual SIM enabled Galaxy On5 has a rear facing 8MP f/2.2 camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies with f/2.2 aperture.
Connectivity options available includes – GPS/GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 4G LTE with support for LTE Bands in India. The Samsung Galaxy On5 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a removable 2600mAh battery.
The user manual of the Samsung Galaxy On7 was also spotted; all things being equal, it is in the phablet category with a 5.5-inch display but same HD resolution, a rear 13MP main camera and is backed by a more beefier 3000mAh battery. The rest of the specs are similar to the Galaxy On5 but is priced at Rs 13,000 ($200/€175).
