Sassy Motorola Moto X Style with 5.7-inch QHD display and Snapdragon 808 announced

Motorola has officially announced the Motorola Moto X Style a sassy looking Android smartphone with high-end specs; the device would make its debut in September in Europe, Latin America and North America. India, China and other Asia Pacific nations would get it later this year.

The Moto X Style would launch in the US as the Motorola Moto X Style Pure Edition in September. Priced at $399, it would be available unlocked and compatible with the country’s four major carriers – Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint.

Talking about the buildup, the Motorola Moto X Style has got a stylish design and oozes posh; the device comes with a soft silicon rubber back which has undergone a special coating which makes it to keep shining over time and is splash resistant (IP52 certified). The back is also customisable via the Moto Maker service which is available in select markets.

The Moto X Style features a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) QHD TFT LCD display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and has a screen-to-body ratio of about 76%. Under the hood, it is powered by a Hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB space of internal storage. There is a 64GB storage version of the Moto X Style but both variants has a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

Moving to the camera segment, it sports a rear facing 21MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) and Dual Tone LED flash. The front camera is a 5MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture, 1.4um pixels and LED flash.

The Motorola Moto X Style runs stock looking Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 3000mAh battery which is assured to provide over a day of mixed usage. The device supports Motorola’s Turbo charging technology with a Motorola Turbo charger needed. With just 15 minutes of Charge the device should last 10 hours of mixed usage.
