Turing Robotics Industries has announced a new smartphone into the market. The Turing Phone is suspected to the be the first from the company but the device is not just any smartphone, it is a security conscious one. The device is said to sport a body made from Liquidmorphium.
Liquidmorphium is said to be an amorphous alloy of zirconium, copper, aluminum,nickel and silver” resulting in glass like material which offers a shiny dark metal look and is said to be stronger than aluminium or steel.
The Turing Phone is a security based smartphone, thus it has a security chip called ‘Turing Imitation Key’ which does the authentication encryption process locally. This is done to protect the consumer data from exploits, and allows Turing Phone owners exchange sensitive data without issues.
The Turing Phone features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz paired with 3GB of RAM and there are 16GB, 64GB and 128GB choice of internal storage option. The main camera is a 13MP unit and a front facing 8MP camera for selfies and video chats.
It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 3000mAh battery. Turing Robotic Industries would start shipping the Turing Phone by August 10. The 16GB version doesn’t have a price tag yet but the 64GB version would cost between $700 – $750 and the 128GB version would cost around $870.
