Chinese originated company, Gionee has launched the selfie-focused Gionee S6s smartphone in India. The mid-ranger arrives with some improvements over the older Gionee S6 and sports a front facing 8MP camera with front camera flash and f/2.2 aperture for clearer selfies.

Most of the highlight of the Gionee S6s is on the features (both hardware and software) of the cameras. The rear snapper is a 13MP Sony IMX 258 sensor with f/2.0 aperture while the front camera is a 8MP snapper with Selfie flash. Some of the camera softwares and filters onboard includes – Face Beauty 2.0, HDR, Panorama, Ultra-pixel mode for capturing up to 120MP photos.
The device sports a metal unibody design, 5.5-inch FHD 2.5D glass display, quad-core Mediatek MT6753 64-bit processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage, Hybrid Dual SIM slots, VoLTE, and 3150mAh battery.
Available in Latte Gold and Mocha Gold colours, the Android Marshmallow powered S6s costs Rs. 17,999 ($267) and will be available online on Amazon India and across various retail outlets in the country.
