Sony has announced a new smartphone – the Sony Xperia C4 which is dubbed as a Selfie smartphone and would definitely appeal to the selfie loving community. The device would come in Single SIM and Dual SIM models with virtually the same specs – Xperia C4 and Xperia C4 Dual.
The highlight of the Xperia C4 is its front facing 5MP Exmor R camera with LED flash, wide angle lens and it’s ability to capture images in very low light conditions. The main camera is a 13MP Auto-focus sensor with OIS, 4x digital zoom, Autofocus and HDR.
Moving to the other specs, the Sony Xperia C4 sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Mobile Bravia Engine 2 display and is powered by an octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MTK6752 processor clocked at 1.7GHz with Mali 760 MP2 GPU.
Handling tasks on the device is 2GB of RAM and there is 16GB (only 10GB is available to user) space of internal storage for media files. For those who require more, there is a microSD card slot which allows storage expansion up to 128GB.
Connectivity options on the Sony Xperia C4 includes – Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, Wi-Fi , Wi-Fi Hotspot, microUSB 2.0, miracast, 2G and 3G. Options such as 4G LTE, AGPS and GLONASS are available in select market. Asides its camera focused features, it also comes with enhanced audio functions for quality delivering – it comes with ClearAudio+ technologies, Sony 3D Surround and xLoud loudness enhancement engine.
It measures 150.3 x 77.4 x 7.9 mm in dimensions, weighs 147 grams and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. It is backed by a 2600mAh battery which provides up to 682 hours of standby time, 12 hours 47 mins of talktime and comes with Battery STAMINA Mode.
The Sony Xperia C4 and the Sony Xperia C4 Dual would be available in select markets at a yet-to-be announced price starting June 2015 in White, Black and Light Green colour options.
