SHARP is driving forward its 8K Ecosystem strategy with the launch of its AQUOS 8K TV in four different regions worldwide. Manufactured by Foxconn, the SHARP AQUOS 8K TV will arrive in Shanghai (October 2017), Tokyo (December 2017), Taiwan (February 2018) and Berlin (March 2018).
The SHARP AQUOS 8K TV (LC-70X500) will be joined by other 8K products from the company including cameras and broadcast receivers. It has a 70-inch LCD display with 8K resolution (7,680 x 4,320 pixels), 2x USB ports, 4x HDMI ports and supports H.265 playback and HDR (compatible with Dolby Vision HDR and BDA-HDR).
The TV features aviation-grade aluminum alloy for the frames, lower bar, and base as well as surface brushing and mirror polishing. It has three groups of speakers built into the SoundBar, accompanied by two groups of woofer speakers and four high-power speakers with optimal back bass sound.
The AQUOS 8K TV is also equipped with surround sound, Yamaha Audio Engine and DTS 2.0 technology to deliver premium quality audio output. It also has an excellent contrast ratio and wide color gamut, and guarantees a visual gala thanks to the presence of the company’s world-leading picture quality tech.
