Sharp has a wide range of good looking smartphones with amazing design; unfortunately for the international community most of its devices are available exclusively in its home country – Japan.
The company just announced two devices – first is the AQUOS Serie Mini SHV31and the other is the AQUOS K which is a flip-phone with top notch specs.
The Sharp AQUOS Serie Mini SHV31 features a 4.5-inch IGZO Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with the company’s EDGEST minimal bezel design. Under the hood is the 2.3GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB).
The handset weighs just 118 grams; runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, WiMAX2+ and VoLTE support, 13MP main camera and is waterproof. The device is backed by a 2120mAh battery which is said to provide about 540 hours of standby time.
The Sharp AQUOS Serie Mini SHV31 debuts with the ‘Emopa’ feature. The feature is said to connect or create an emotional connection between the owner of the smartphone and the device. It allows the phone speak for itself without being asked any question. The phone itself is available in four colour options – Cyan, Magenta, Black and White.
The Other is Sharp Aquos K SHF31 – which is a flip-phone and is waterproof. The device features a 3.4-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core snapdragon 400 processor, 13MP main camera with auto HDR, run Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and supports 4G LTE.
The device is backed by a 1410mAh, provides mobile wallet functions; supports tethering via Wi-Fi to up to 10 devices. The Aquos K SHF31 is measures 17mm in thickness, comes with a microSD card slot, a touch-sensitive trackpad. Red, Black and White are the available colour options.
