Some couple of days ago, Sharp announced three beautifully designed smartphones for the Japanese market; they all use the company’s EDGEST designer concept and will be sold exclusively on NTT DoCoMo but their prices are not detailed yet.
First off is the flagship Sharp Aquos Zeta SH-01H, it sports a 5.3-inch IGZO display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD), S-Pure LED layer for increased contrast and brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The device has a mixture of metal and glass body build.
Under the hood, It is powered by an Hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.8GHz with Adreno 418 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of RAM. For photography, the main camera is a 13.1MP CMOS sensor camera with f/1.9 aperture, Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) and is capable of making 1080p videos @ 120fps.
The front camera is a 8MP snapper with 100-degree viewing angle for selfies. Connectivity options on the Sharp Aquos Zeta SH-01H includes – Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and 4G LTE. The device has a fingerprint scanner, IP55/58 certification for protection against spills and dusts, and has advanced audio system – Zirene Sound made by AM3D.
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the Sharp Aquos Zeta SH-01H is backed by a 3100mAh battery and will go on sale in November in Black, Blue and Pink colour options.
Next is the Sharp Aquos Compact SH-02H which is the compact version of the above – Aquos Zeta SH-01H and is technically re-branded as the Disney Mobile DM-01H for the Japanese Disney Mobile lovers. It will arrive in December in Blue-Black and Yellow-Green colour options.
The Sharp Aquos Compact SH-02H has the same EDGEST design as the Sharp Aquos Zeta SH-01H; it also has the same processor and main camera. It sports a smaller 4.7-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, a front facing 5MP snapper for selfies, measures 6.6mm and is backed by a 2810mAh battery.
Last is the Disney Mobile DM-01H which is the Sharp Aquos Compact SH-02H for the Disney fans in Japan. The device will come with free access to Disney-based themes and contents, go on Sale by January 2016 in Sparkle Blue and Sparkle Pink colours options.
