Spanish based manufacturer, Siswoo has listed a new smartphone which would use the same Dual-Display setup as the YotaPhone 2; the device in question is the Siswoo R9 Darkmoon.
There is no word on pricing and the availability dates; it has only been listed on the company’s website where users can contribute to the development of the smartphone. The R9 Darkmoon has a normal front display and a rear E-Ink display; the rear display contributes to a longer battery life and a more comfortable reading.
The Siswoo R9 Darkmoon has a front 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FullHD OGS IPS display with a pixel density of 401ppi; the rear display is 4.7-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD E-Ink display. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor (64-bit) with Mali-T760 MP2 GPU, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 64GB).
On the rear, there is a 13MP camera with LED flash and a front 8MP camera for selfies and video chats. Connectivity options on the Siswoo R9 Darkmoon includes – Wi-Fi, NFC, 2G, 3G and 4G LTE (FDD-LTE and TDD-LTE). It comes with Dual SIM support, runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 3000mAh battery with Qi wireless charging.
