Spanish company, Durmet has a new smart mattress currently undergoing mass production with the objective of letting you know when suspicious activities are happening on your bed. Interestingly called “Smarttress”, the company dubs it as “the very first mattress that makes your body relax by night and your mind by day, when you’re not at home.”
According to the company, Smarttress is equipped with a feature called “Lover Detection System” which sends alerts with data to user’ phone every time it detects irregular and suspicious activities on the bed. To achieve this, there are 24 vibration sensors embedded in the bed springs and contact zone detectors which can detect the “intensity and impact per minute” of people using the mattresss.
The mobile app is currently only available for Android while the iOS version is tagged coming soon.
Understandably, there have been critics pointing out the fact the mattress is not only expensive, also, there are other cheaper means to catch a cheating spouse which wouldn’t cost half as much as Smarttress.
