Smartfren Telecom has announced two new Android Lollipop OS smartphones bearing the ANDROMAX brand with Voice over LTE (VoLTE) – the Smartfren ANDROMAX A and Smartfren ANDROMAX E2 Plus. The former costs IDR 649,000 Indonesian Rupiah (about USD 49) while the later IDR 1,199,000 Indonesian Rupiah (about USD 91).
The Smartfren ANDROMAX A packs a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA LCD display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor, Adeno 304 GPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB built-in storage and a 1950mAh battery. In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 5MP rear camera with AutoFocus, BSI Sensor, LED flash and a front facing 5MP Fixed Focus camera for selfies. The Haier manufactured device supports 4G LTE connectivity, has Dual SIM slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, comes in Black, Gold or White colour options.
On its part, the Smartfren ANDROMAX E2 Plus sports a similar 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA screen resolution, Quad-core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage space and a 1900mAh battery. The rest of the specs are pretty much similar to that of the ANDROMAX A but this model is manufactured by Hisense and comes in similar colour options.
