Indonesia’s mobile telecommunication provider – Smartfren Telecom has announced a new entry-level 4G VoLTE enabled smartphone in the ANDROMAX series. The Smartfren ANDROMAX B is manufactured by Chinese device maker, Haier and boots the dated Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box.
Housed in a plastic body, the Smartfren ANDROMAX B features a 4.5-inch (854 x 480) IPS LCD display and depends on a 1950mAh battery for power. On th einside, it relies on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor clocked at 1.1GHz paired with 1GB of RAM.
The smartphone has Dual SIM slots, 8GB built-in storage space and a microSD card sot for storage expansion up to 32GB/64GB. For imaging, there is a rear facing 5MP camera with LED flash working alongside a similar 5MP front camera for selfies and video chats.
The Smartfren ANDROMAX B supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE (Cat. 4) networks as well as Bluetooth, WI-FI 802.11 b/g/n, micro USB, Hotspot and GPS. It is expected to go on sale for IDR 849,000 Indonesian Rupiah (US$ 64) and will be available in three colour options.
