ByteDance, owner of video-sharing app TikTok, has teamed up with Smartisan to launch a new flagship smartphone. According to Engadget, the Beijing-based company currently owns a number of Smartisan’s patents and talent, and used the avenue to launch the device under the Smartisan brand. The Smartisan Nut Pro 3 (or Smartisan Jianguo Pro 3 according to some chinese source) comes pre-installed with Douyin – the Chinese version of TikTok.
The Smartisan Nut Pro 3 sports a sleek looking 7.8mm thin body and two distinct rear camera design. The Green and Black colour options have a rectangular-shaped camera arrangement with three of sensors on the right and a long-strip LED flash beneath the fourth sensor on the left. The White colour option has a similar arrangement, however, a pill-shaped LED sits beneath the fourth camera.
The quad camera setup consists of a primary 48MP (f/1.75, OIS) Sony IMX586 camera paired with a 13MP ( 1.12μm, 123-degree FoV, OIS) ultra-wide shooter, 8MP (2X optical zoom)telephoto shooter and 5MP 2cm super macro shooter. The front-facing camera is a 20MP (f/2.0, 1.8μm) Samsung 3T1 shooter. The phone’s camera has camera features such as Super Night View 2.0 and 480fps slow-motion.
The Nut Pro 3 has a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with U-shaped notch, in-display fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port (no audio jack) and a 4,000mAh battery with both 5V/3A and 9V/2A fast charging. The phone has a breathing light feature embedded in the brand’s familiar logo at the bottom and comes pre-loaded with Smartisan OS 7.0 which brings hundreds of new updates and features including Big Bang 3.0, One Step 2.0, Idea Pills 2.0.
