India’s Smartron has added a new smartphone to its t.phone series. The Flipcart-exclusive Smartron t.phone P is backed by a 5,000mAh battery, which promises up to 2 days of battery life and comes with the option to charge other mobile devices via USB OTG.
Priced at Rs. 7,999 (US$ 126 or €UR 103), the Smartron t.phone P packs a 5.2-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with 2.5D curved glass, 3GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD) and rear fingerprint sensor. It relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor and boots Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS which comes along with Smartron’s tcloud, tcare, tstore and tronX.
Photography is handled by a rear facing 13MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.12um pixel size, PDAF and LED flash, alngside a front facing 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. Connectivity options on the device include: 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.
The Smartron t.phone P measures 148.3 x 72.2 x 8.9 mm, weighs 160 grams, and arrives in Black colour only. It will be available exclusively from Flipkart starting from January 17, 2018.
