Back in July, details of the Lenovo Tab2 for Softbank and Y! Mobile in Japan surfaced. One of the companies, Softbank has announced its own version of the tablet – the 8-inch Lenovo Tab2. It will be available starting November 27th in Japan in Midnight Blue and Pearl White colour options.
Measuring 212.3 x 125.5 x 9.3mm in dimensions and weighing about 353 grams in size; the Lenovo Tab2 sports a 8-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels (WXGA) and is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Mediatek MT8735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage space.
The tablet has a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 64GB) and is backed by a 4290mAh battery which is equal to the task of providing up to 660 hours of continuous standby time on 3G. In the camera segment, there is a front facing 2-megapixels camera and a rear facing 8-Megapixels camera.
Connectivity options on the Lenovo Tab2 includes – Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and support for 2G, 3G, & 4G LTE (Hybrid networks. The tablet also has front facing Dual Speakers with Audio digital processing technology – ‘BesLoudness’, audio surround processing technology – ‘BesSurround’. There is no word on the pricing on the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS running device.
