Rewind almost two months back, the Sony Lavender (model number – E5503) surfaced with a bezel-less display and front facing camera flash. The device is now reported to go official as the Sony Xperia T4 Ultra (E5503) in August and is the first smartphone from the Japanese firm with a bezel-less display.
Moving to the specs, the Sony Xperia T4 Ultra (E5503) will have a 5.5-inch display instead of the previously rumoured 6-inch display, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080pixels (Full HD) and bezel-less display design. It also has two front facing stereo speakers.
Under the hood, it drawa power from an octa-core Mediatek MT6752 64-bit processor clocked at 1.7GHz with ARM Mali-T760 GPU. Handling tasks on the device is 2GB of RAM; 16GB built-in storage space for files; the front and rear cameras are 13-megapixels Sony-made snapper with IMX214 sensor and both have an LED flash.
The Sony Xperia T4 Ultra has Dual SIM functionality, 4G LTE connectivity support and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box. It is expected to be priced between the regions of $280 to $300. With August being some few weeks aways, till then we have to keep our fingers crossed.
