Sony Xperia E4 and Xperia E4 Dual goes official

The smartphone with the honour of the being Sony’s first for 20w5 is not the highly anticipated Sony Xperia Z4 but an affordable low-midrange/entry level smartphone – the Sony Xperia E4. The device which would be available in two models – a single SIM (Xperia E4) and a Dual SIM (Xperia E4 Dual). Naturally it is expected to succeed the Sony Xperia E3 which debuted September last year.

The Sony Xperia E4 features a 5-inch (540 x 960 pixels) qHD IPS LCD display, powered by a quad-core 1.3GHz Mediatek MT6582 processor with 1GB of RAM, 8GB space of internal storage (5GB available) and a microSD card slot is available for expansion purpose. 

On the rear is a 5MP camera with LED flash and on the front is a 2MP not-so-selfie camera. It doesn’t support LTE but comes with standard connectivity options – Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi and 3G HSPA. The smartphone is backed by a 2300mAh battery which would also come with Stamina and Ultra Stamina software features to enhance longer battery life. It runs Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS.

The Sony Xperia E4 and the Xperia E4 Dual is expected to be available later in February. There is no word on pricing and availability.
