When Sony announced the successor to the Sony Xperia E3, the Xperia E4 (and the Xperia E4 Dual) both variant of the device comes with 3G connectivity alone. The company has now announced the 4G LTE variant of the Sony Xperia E4 – the Sony Xperia E4g and the Sony Xperia E4g Dual.
Both the Sony Xperia E4g and E4g Dual have similar specs with the former being a single SIM device and the latter a Dual SIM device.
Moving to the specs, expect a 4.7-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD display, powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6732 64-bit SoC with Mali-T760 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
There is a 5MP main camera with LED flash and a front facing 2MP camera for selfies. Connectivity options on the Sony Xperia E4g (and Xperia E4g Dual) includes – Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, 4G, GPS and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi. Both variants run Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and is backed by a 2300mAh battery. The battery in stamina mode can provide around 2 days of battery life.
The Sony Xperia E4g and Sony Xperia E4g Dual are available in white and black colour options and will go on sale by April 2015 for 129 Euros (around US$ 146 and N29,500).
