Alongside with the new Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact smartphones at the MWC 2018, Sony also launched the Sony Xperia Ear Duo, a new wireless ‘open ear’ stereo headset integrated with smart assistance (Google Assistant and Siri) and compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
The Sony Xperia Ear Duo delivers an excellent dual listening experience which is the ability to hear both music and notifications simultaneously with natural sounds around. The ‘Daily Assist’ feature recognises time, location and activities to offer prompt reminders and relevant information throughout the day.
The headset has built-in voice control with easy access to any of the onboard personal assistants – either Google Assistant or Siri. It also responds to various head gestures. Simply shaking or nodding the head answers or decline an incoming call; while shaking the head left or right skips through music. To control music and volume, the user simply needs to tap and scroll on the headset.
The Sony Xperia Ear Duo has a durable stainless steel and soft rubber body build, IPX2-rating (splash proofing) and lasts up to four hours of listening on a single charge. When on the move, the case double as a charger, offering three times more power. It will roll out globally from Spring 2018.
