Some couple of days ago, Sony took off the wraps off the Sony Xperia M5 along with another camera centric smartphone – the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra with Bezel-less display. On the other, the Meizu MX5 was announced towards the end June and is the company’s latest flagship.
Sony described the Xperia M5 as a super midrange phone and there is no disputing that fact with the device sporting some of the best camera features around. The Meizu MX5 isn’t far behind in terms of camera features but it has faster CPU and has a fingerprint scanner which means the device is able to hold its own.

Verdict
The Super Midrange Sony Xperia M5 doesn’t exactly lag far behind the Meizu MX5 which is the company’s latest flagship; considering different factors we look at how each smartphone edges out the other below:
Sony Xperia M5
– Despite both having top notch camera features, the Xperia M5 comes out on top in terms of camera solution, higher res front camera and the Hybrid AutoFocus. It has a microSD card slot, higher display pixel density, more compact to handle, under-clocked CPU and waterproof/dustproof.
Meizu MX5
– The phablet sized Meizu MX5 flagship has a larger display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 but doesn’t have a microSD card slot. It however has a faster CPU, supports 4G LTE in both SIMs, fingerprint scanner onboard and has a higher battery capacity.
