Sony Mobile has added a new entertainment-focused mid-range smartphone to its portfolio called the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus. It is the Plus version of the Sony Xperia XA2, which made its debut earlier this year at the CES 2018, and also comes pre-loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo OS.

Available in Black, Gold, Green and Silver colours, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus has a metallic body finishing with narrow bezels and thin borders, large 6-inch FHD+ 18:9 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and one-touch rear fingerprint sensor. To encourage one-handed usage and typing, the mini-display mode lets the user switch between smaller and larger on-screen interface.

The smartphone is based on the Snapdragon 630 mobile octa-core platform and backed by a 3,580mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 quick charging (requires Quick Charger UCH12W or other compatible charger) and Sony smart charging technologies – the Qnovo Adaptive Charging and Smart Stamina mode.

For photography, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus is equipped with a rear 23MP camera with Sony’s large 1/2.3” Exmor RS sensor, 4K movie recording, Hybrid AF and LED flash and 120fps slow motion video capture; and a front facing 8MP 120-degree wide-angle camera with Beauty features and “Portrait selfie” mode.

It is available in two configurations: 4GB RAM with 32GB storage and 6GB RAM with 64GB storage. Both storage options are expandable up to 400GB via microSD. It also has a USB Type-C port, supports Hi-Res Audio and Smart Amplifier, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, and available in single and Dual SIM options.
