Hours ago, Sony Mobiles announced the Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZs at the MWC 2017. Both devices features Sony’s Omnibalance design concept with rectangular look and curved vertical sides. It’s build combines a mix of both metal and glass, and is IP65/68-certified (dust proof and waterproof).
Both the Sony Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZs run Android 7.0 Nougat OS and partnering with Qualcomm, will see both devices support Gigabit LTE download speeds. The fingerprint sensor is embedded into the home button at the right hand side and position of the volume rocker is far more comfortable.
Sony Xperia XZ Premium
Hailed as the world’s first smartphone with Snapdragon 835 processor and a 4K-res display with HDR content support, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium is expected to arrive late Spring 2017 in Deepsea Black and Luminous Chrome colours. It is first ever Snapdragon 835 smartphone to be announced and like the LG G6, it features both HDR 10 and Dolby Vision.
Powered by the Snapdragon 835 10-nm processor, the device packs 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in expandable storage. The main camera is a 19MP snapper with 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 aperture Predictive and Laser autofocus, 5-axis stabilization, 4K video recording and 960fps slow-motion video.
The front camera is a 13MP snapper with 1/3.06” sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 22mm wide angle lens. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium sports a 5.5-inch (3840 x 2160 pixels) 4K Triluminos display, USB 3.1Type-C Port and backed by a 3230mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. It comes in Single or Dual SIM options.
Sony Xperia XZs
Sporting a 5.2-inch FHD Triluminous display, the Sony Xperia XZs succeeds last year’s Xperia XZ and while it retains some of the specs of the latter, it has the same cameras (front and rear) as the Xperia XZ Premium. It relies on a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4GB RAM.
Others specs includes – 32GB or 64GB built-in storage space, microSD card slot (up to 256GB), and a 2900mAh battery with fast charging. It is available in Single or Dual SIM options as well as Black, Ice Blue and Warm Silver colour options.
