Sony Mobiles took to the MWC 2018 in Barcelona to announce its new high-end Xperia smartphones – the Sony Xperia XZ2 and Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact. The duo features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform with X20 LTE, up to 4GB of RAM and boot Android 8.0 Oreo OS.
Released as the successor to last year’s Xperia XZ1, the Sony Xperia XZ2 sports a 5.7-inch HDR FHD+ 18:9 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 covering, front facing stereo speakers with S-Force Front Surround, IP65/68 ratings for dust and water resistance, and a 3,180mAh battery with fast and wireless charging.
The XZ2 comes with a rear facing 19MP Motion Eye camera with 1/ 2.3″ Exmor RS memory stacked sensor, 960 fps super slow motion videos (FHD/HD), Predictive Capture, Anti-distortion shutter, Triple image sensing technology and 5-axis image stabilization for shake-free videos.
Compared to the glass body of the Xperia XZ2, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact is housed in an anti-scratch polycarbonate body. It sports a 5-inch HDR FHD+ 18:9 display, front facing stereo speakers with S-Force Front Surround and a 2,870mAh battery with support for only fast charging.

Pricing and Availability
The Sony Xperia XZ2 will rollout globally starting March 2018 in Ash Pink, Deep Green, Liquid Black and Liquid Silver colours. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact will arrive at the same period in Black, Coral Pink, Moss Green and White Silver. No world on the pricing.
