The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet has gone official, while the flagship Z4 smartphone has not arrived; its accompanying slate has. It has the flagship Snapdragon 810 SoC under the hood, sitting on a 2K display and comes with a 6000mah battery.
The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet sports a 10.1-inch (2560 x 1600 pixels) 2K display, powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 128GB).
The tablet is lightweight at just 389grams (Wi-Fi only) and 393grams (Wi-Fi + LTE); both models measures 167 x 254 x 6.1mm in dimensions. The slate is Waterproof (IP65), Dustproof (IP68), supports surround Sound audio effect, digital noise cancellation and Hi-Res audio playback.
Connectivity options includes – LTE (4G), UMTS HSPA+ (3G), GSM GPRS/EDGE (2G), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and aGPS. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Xperia Launcher (tablet optimised) ontop.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet uses a main 8MP Sony ExmorRS camera and a 5MP wide angle lens camera on the front. The tablet is backed by a 6000mah battery which promises 17 hours of video playback.
The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet would launch globally by June 2015 in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE variants. There is no word on pricing yet.
