Starmobile has unleashed two new Android Marshmallow OS powered smartphones in the Philippines. The duo – Starmobile Play Max and Starmobile Play Plus, share similar specs but the key differences and pricing are distinct. Both come with a free phone case and screen protector out-of-the-box.
Starmobile Play Max
Measuring 143.9 x 71.5 x 9.9mm in dimensions and weighing in at 159 grams; the Play Max; it sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS touchscreen display and the ‘Max’ in the name translate to a sizeable 4000mAh Li-ion battery which promises up to 400 hours of standby time and 22 hours of talk time.
The rest of the Starmobile Play Max specs includes – 1.3GHz Quad-Core Spreadtrum 7731G processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB built-in storage, microSD card slot (up to 32GB), 8MP AF main camera with Flash and 5MP FF Front camera with Flash. It packs Dual Micro SIM slots and supports 2G and 3G networks.
Starmobile Play Plus
Measuring 143 x 73.8 x 9.75mm in dimensions and keeping the same weight as the above; the Play Plus has the same 5-inch display size but with a 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) screen resolution and backed by a 2000mAh Li-ion battery which lasts up to 4 hours of talk time and 250 hours of standby time.
The same processor is on-board but is clocked lesser at 1.2GHz along with 512MB RAM, 8GB built-in storage space and a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB. The cameras have been reduced to a 5MP AF snapper as the main and a 2MP FF snapper for selfies. The rest of the specs are similar to the Play Max.
