China’s Sugar Mobile (or simply Sugar) has announced a new selfie-centric smartphone – Sugar F9. The device, made with Swarovski Zirconia, sports a front facing 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens and 138-degrees wide angle lens. The rear camera is a 13MP snapper with 5P lens and f/2.0 aperture while the fingerprint sensor is embedded into the home button.
Available in Black and Champagne Gold colours, the Sugar F9 sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD 2.5D Curved glass display and backed by a lasting 3,000mAh battery. It relies on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and boots Sugar OS 3.1 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.
The device packs 4GB of RAM, 64GB built-in expandable storage and supports 4G LTE networks in India. It is priced at CNY 2,199 (US$ 324).

The company also announced an entry-level 4G LTE smartphone – the Sugar Y9. It sports a 5.5-inch HD LCD display with 2.5D curve glass, quad-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB built-in expandable storage, rear 13MP camera, fingerprint sensor and front 8MP camera. It boots Sugar OS 3.1 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS and depends on a 3,000mAh battery. The Y9 is priced at CNY 1,499 (US$ 221) and arrives in Black, Gold and Navy Indigo colours.
