Pebble has officially announced the Pebble Time Round; the rounded display smartwatch is tipped as the ‘thinnest (at just 7.5mm) and lightest smartwatch in the world’ and comes with different colours options and different band size.
With a round 64-colour display, the Pebble Time Round weigh 28 grams and is available in 20mm and 14mm band sizes. Both sizes are available in White, Black colour options and an additional Special Edition Rose Gold option is available for the 14mm band size.
In terms of function, the smartwatch does notifications, messages, music control and incoming calls when connected to smartphone. Running Pebble’s customised OS, for a day usage it needs just 15 minutes of charging and days-long battery life according to Pebble. It is also resistant to water splashes, the watchface and bands can be tweaked to personal taste with a wide range of options from the pebble store.
Pricing for the Pebble Time Round starts at $249 and can be pre-ordered on Amazon, Best Buy, Target and Pebble.com. Shipping starts by Early November for US and Canada retailer; to UK retailers later this year and to EU retailers in Early 2016. The official Pebble will also ship the Time Round worldwide.
