Swipe has launched a new phablet sized mid-range device into the Indian market called the Swipe Elite Note. It is available exclusively for a price tag of Rs. 7999 (approx US$ 120) via Flipkart in one colour variation.
Dressed in a 8.4 mm thick body made from magnesium metal alloy and premium sandstone back cover, the Swipe Elite Note sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with 2.5D curved edges, Dragontrail glass protection and Vi-Di technology. It runs Freedom OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 3000mAh battery promising up to 18 days on standby.
Under the hood, the device relies on a quad-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 3GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space. For photography, the front selfie snapper is a 5-megapixel camera with 4P lens, f/2.8 aperture and a 88-degree wide angle lens.
The main camera is a 13-megapixel SONY sensor with f1/3.2″ aperture and LED flash. The Swipe Elite Note packs Dual SIM slots (Micro + Nano), supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks as well as Wi-Fi, micro USB, Bluetooth and GPS. There is also IR Blaster onboard which allows the device function as a Remote control for some home appliances.
