Recap: TCL 10L, TCL 10 Pro, TCL 10 5G & TCL Foldable Ready For MWC 2020 Showcase

TCL is expected to officially launch its new self-branded ‘10’ smartphone series – the TCL 10L, TCL 10 Pro and TCL 10 5G alongside the TCL Foldable at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2020 (MWC 2020). The company not only revealed details about the devices at the long concluded CES 2020, but also confirmed that they will be available in markets globally including Canada and the US (Q2 2020).

Display panels on the TCL 10 series smartphone incorporates the company’s NXTVISION display optimization technology and are manufactured by TCL’s partner China Star Optoelectronics Technology (CSOT). All three feature a quad rear camera setup arranged horizontally but the 10 Pro has an edge AMOLED display while the other two feature flat displays.

Starting at under US$ 500, the company’s first 5G smartphone is backed by TCL 10 5G is backed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 735G mobile platform, rear fingerprint sensor, large display with side placed punch-hole notch and reflective glass back. The TCL 10 Pro has a rounded glass body, large display with in-display fingerprint sensor and centrally located dewdrop notch. (PS: It looks similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10  h/t Gizmodo)

The TCL 10L, which is expected to be the cheapest of the trio, has a 6.2-inch LCD display, rear fingerprint scanner and 48MP primary camera. Finally, the company’s new foldable device is still in the ‘functional prototype’ stage, however, it opens-up into a 7.2-inch 2K touchscreen device with quad rear cameras. If it ever makes it out, it will be competing with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Fold, Huawei Mate X and Moto Razr.
