TCL’s 20 series of smartphones has seen three new additions – the TCL 20 Pro 5G, TCL 20L+ and TCL 20L. Joining the TCL 20 5G and TCL 20 SE (CES 2021), the trio are equipped with the NXTVISION technology for visual enhancement and protection from both blue light and eye strain. They all boot TCL UI (Android 11) and carry the designation of Google’s Android Enterprise Recommended devices, which means they are recommended for business use.
TCL 20 Pro 5G
Priced starting at EUR 549, the TCL 20 Pro 5G is fitted with a curved 6.67-inch AMOLED display with TCL’s NXTVISION 2.0 and HDR10 playback support, HDR-enabled 32MP selfie camera, 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB built-in storage, which is expandable up to 1TB via microSD cards. Processing power and 5G connectivity is delivered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G mobile platform.
Photography is handled by a quad rear camera setup headed by a 48MP (OIS, 4K video recording) Sony camera paired with 16MP (120O FOV) ultra-wide unit, 5MP macro and 2MP depth sensors. It will go on sale across Europe and other global markets in Marine Blue and Moondust Gray colours. The device is compatible with the transparent edge flip cover and TCL MOVEAUDIO S600 wireless headphones with hybrid ANC, and all-day in-ear comfort.
TCL 20L+
The TCL 20L+ has a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with TÜV Rheinland-certified Circular Polarization Display technology for seeing the display in natural colours even when wearing shades. The punch-hole notch that houses the 16MP (f/2.2) selfie camera while the quad-cameras on the back is made up of a 64MP (f/1.79) main camera paired with 8MP (f/2.2) wide-angle, 2MP (f/2.4) macro and 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensors.
This model is based on the non-5G Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 mobile platform, hence no 5G connectivity. It also comes with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 2.1 storage (expandable up to 1TB). The rest of the specs includes side-placed fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C 2.0 port and 5,000mAh battery with 18W (9V/2A) fast charging. It is expected to go on sale in Europe and other countries over the coming weeks in Milky Way Grey and North Star Blue colours for EUR 269.
TCL 20L
The TCL 20L is a slight step down from the 20L+, however, it retains most of the specs including its 6.67-inch FHD+ display with TÜV Rheinland-certified Circular Polarization Display technology, 16MP (f/2.2) selfie camera and 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. It is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 mobile platform paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 128GB built-in expandable storage. The main camera in the quad rear setup has been replaced with a 48MP (f/2.0) sensor. It is scheduled to go on sale alongside the 20 Pro 5G and 20L+ for EUR 229 in Ellipse Black and Luna Blue.
