TCL has launched a new smartphone in India – the TCL 560. The budget priced lower midrange device is available for a price tag of Rs. 7999 (US$119) in Dark grey and Metallic gold colour options. It is available exclusively from Amazon and sales starts July 5. The company has also teamed up with up to 400 service centres across India to offer after sale support.
The highlight of the TCL 560 phablet is the Iris scanner, which unlocks the device by scanning the eyes via a unique Eye Verify feature and works well in a well lit environment. It sports a 5.5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels screen resolution and is backed by a removable 2500mAh battery.
Under the hood, the device relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz with 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage space and up to 32GB extra storage space via microSD. The device has Dual SIM slots and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
In the camera department, there is a rear facing 8MP AF camera with LED flash and a front 5MP AF camera with 84.4-degree wide angle lens for selfies. Connectivity options onboard includes – 4G VoLTE , Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
